Samrutha is an only child. her father was unemployed, and her mother worked as an accountant. Over time, differences began to develop between her parents. Her father’s continued unemployment made him suspicious, short-tempered, and egoistic. He frequently argued with, and verbally abused Samrutha’s mother and he also began to neglect Samrutha.
In 2009, her mother decided to separate from her father and moved into a small rented house with Samrutha who was 2 years old. After the separation, her father became an alcoholic and tragically died in a road accident in 2012. From 2012 to 2025, Samrutha was raised by her mother as a single parent. In 2024, her mother fell seriously ill and was diagnosed with soft tissue cancer. Despite her illness, she remained strong during Samrutha’s 12th board exams but sadly passed away in April 2025.
Samrutha’s college ends at 2 p.m. After returning home, she spends her time studying and completing assignments. In the evening, she takes tuition classes to support her aunt with household expenses. She tutors Cbsc students from Class 1 to 8 in all subjects, and for Classes 9 to 12, she teaches English, Chemistry, Physics, and Computer Science.
Samrutha holds an NCC ‘A’ Certificate and is an international Karate champion. She has won one gold and one silver medal in an international competition, and two gold and four bronze medals at the national level. In addition, she is a trained classical Bharatanatyam dancer. She has been honored with prestigious titles such as Yuvakala Natya Valarmani, Yuva Natya Mayuri, and Yuva Padmashree. She also volunteers by teaching Bharatanatyam to HIV-positive children through a charitable trust. Samrutha has published a poem about her father through the Rough Note Organisation, for which she received a certificate of appreciation. She was ranked among the top 10 students in the Perambur region. She has also written poem about her mother. Her favourite subject is English, and her ambition is to pursue a B.Ed. and become a teacher.
