Iniyatamilpaavai completed her schooling at Sri Vidhya Mandhir Mat Hr. Sec School, Uthangarai, Krishnagiri District. She scored 498 marks (99.6%) in Class 10 and 582 marks (97%) in Class 12.
Her father, Chandran, who works as a Sub-Inspector of Police, abandoned the family in 2019 and later married another woman, with whom he currently resides. Her mother, Pavunammal, was working as a teacher and supported the family. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with leiomyosarcoma and passed away in January 2025.
Iniyatamilpaavai has two elder sisters. The eldest has completed her M.Sc. in Statistics and is currently searching for a job. The second sister is pursuing a B.A. in Public Administration and Political Science at Guru Nanak College, Chennai.
After their mother’s death, their father took all her service benefits. However, since their mother had transferred the family house in the eldest daughter’s name, that remains the only property safe from them. As the first legal heir, he managed to transfer their mother’s Provident Fund (PF) benefits to his name by misusing his position in the police department. Though the sisters filed a complaint, he continues to exploit loopholes in the system.
In court, he pretends to be a responsible father, claiming he wishes to take care of all three daughters and that they can live with him and his new family. But the daughters, aware of his true nature, refuse to go with him. They also fear he might take away the house and eventually evict them.
During this difficult time, Iniyatamilpaavai’s school principal supported her by covering her mess fees until she was selected by STF. At present, her elder sisters work part-time jobs to manage their academic expenses and daily needs while continuing to support each other.
