Kamalakannan B completed his 10th std at Sri Vignesh Vidya Mandir High School, scoring 83%, and his 12th std with 88.3%. He then pursued a Diploma in Civil Engineering at SA Polytechnic College, Thiruverkadu, Chennai, where he scored 95%. After that, he joined the B.E. Civil Engineering program at Anna University.

His father, Babu, was an alcoholic and passed away in Andhra Pradesh. Following his father’s demise, the family moved to Chennai and settled there. His mother works as a security staff member at D Mart and supports the family. His elder brother has also completed a diploma and is currently searching for a job.

Kamalakannan has additionally completed a Diploma in Fire Safety and Emergency Preparedness at Bharat Sevak Samaj, Usha Fire Safety Equipments Ltd., Ambattur, scoring 89.6%. His favourite subject is Mathematics, and his ambition is to become a Tahsildar.
