The role of the mentor is to serve as an anchor in the life of an underprivileged child. They could help the mentees acquire the right attitudes and aptitudes, inspiration, and problem-solving abilities in addition to just supporting them with their educational and employment options.

Additionally, mentors could provide guidance on selecting elective courses, etc., and find out about the student’s family situation, health, and other issues. Have meetings with the mentees occasionally to assess their looks, grooming, etc.
