She completed her schooling at The Madras Seva Sadan Higher Secondary School, securing 93.2% in Class 10 and 91.83% in Class 12, and she ranked 4th in her school. Her father, Vanavelmurugan E, runs a small provision shop to support a family of seven — her parents, grandmother, two siblings, and her cousin brother (her father’s younger brother’s son), who is 16 years old and studying in Class 11. His father passed away, and his mother abandoned him, she remarried and settled in Bangalore. He is now being brought up by Aruna’s father. Her mother is a housewife, while her siblings are studying in college and attending an Anganwadi center.
Aruna is skilled in craft-making, dance, and football, and has represented her district in football tournaments. Her ambition is to become a leading software engineer, live a fulfilling life, and uplift her family.
