Cathriyan Louriya P completed her schooling at Adaikala Annai Hr. Sec. School, Viriyur, scoring 76.2% in her 10th std and 90.5% in her 12th std. Her native place is Kallakurichi. She stays in the Yellagiri hostel and pursuing her degree.
Her father, Pathinathan, works as a daily wage laborer, and her mother, Jesintha Mary, is a housewife. Both of them are illiterate. Louriya is the first graduate in her family. She has two elder sisters; both are married. Unfortunately, one of them passed away by suicide during an 8-month pregnancy due to misunderstandings with her husband. Her other sister lives with her in-laws. Cathriyan is interested in drawing and has won prizes at school. She has also participated and won in kho-kho and running events. Her favourite subject is Accounts, and her ambition is to become a Chartered Accountant.
