Defila completed her 12th standard with Business Mathematics & commerce from The Mary Clubwala Jadhav Girl’s Higher Secondary School in Tamil medium. She scored 415/500 in her 10th exam. Her father is a tailor who is the sole supporter of his family of two children. They stay in a small one-room government flat for rent.
