Divya completed her B.Com at  Ethiraj College and schooling at the Madras Seva Sadan Higher Secondary School.  She scored 383/500 in her 10th exam, and 968/1200 in Class 12. Her father works as a car driver on daily wages. She has an elder sister studying in college and a younger brother studying in high school. She is at present working at Randstad as a Recruitment Specialist.
