Geetha Y is currently pursuing 2nd year B. Com in Accounting and Finance at MOP Vaishnav College, Chennai. She has a CGPA of 8.446 in first year. Geetha’s father, Yuvaraj, is illiterate and works as an attender at AV Meiyappan Hr Sec School, Virugambakkam, Chennai. Her mother, Devi, is also illiterate. Geetha is a Nepali by origin – her parents migrated from Nepal to Tamil Nadu long time ago.
Geetha completed her schooling at AV Meiyappan Hr Sec School, where she scored 592/600 (98.66%), ranking as the second topper of her school. She was also the school topper in Class 11, scoring 586/600. The family resides in the workers’ quarters within the school campus. Geetha has two sisters: her elder sister, Meera, is in her final year of BBA, and her younger sister, Durga, is studying 3rd std at AV Meiyappan School.
