Lavanya was a normal child until age 5 when a traumatic accident in the sea made her both hearing and speech impaired. She stood 1st in the 10th, standard scoring 91.2 %, with a centum in Maths. She scored 95.2% in class 12 and stood 2nd in school. She completed her BCA from Stella Maris College. She also did a course in Data base.
