Although Magimai Arasan is hearing impaired, he is a good student. He completed his  B.Com from St. Louis Institute for the Deaf and Blind.  His father sells vegetables and his mother is a housewife. He has a natural flair for drawing and has participated in many competitions. His drawings also appeared in The Hindu newspaper. He is at present working in a Garment shop.
