Meena R is currently in her 2nd year of BE ECE  at LICET, Chennai. She completed her 10th  at St. Aloysius AI Girls Higher Secondary School and her 12th  at Government Model Girls Higher Secondary School scoring 90.16% (541/600) Her CGPA up to the 2nd year is 8.34. Her father, Ramesh, studied up to the 10th and worked as a diver at Tata ACE (Electricity Board), where he carried ladders and materials to attend to faults. He suffered a mild stroke while at work and was treated for it. He recovered a month ago, but doctors have advised him not to drive anymore so he is currently looking for security jobs. Her mother, Girija, also studied up to the 10th and works in a canteen as a dish washer and table cleaner. Currently the family is supported by her mother’s income. Meena’s younger sister is studying in government school. They live as a joint family, along with Meena’s grandmother, paternal uncle, and his family.

Meena is good at long jump and kabaddi, and her favourite subjects are Maths and Chemistry. She has always been passionate about the hardware side of technology and aspires to become a robotics hardware engineer.
