Mency Lavanya V completed  B.Sc. Nursing at St. Theresa’s College of Nursing, Bangalore.   She did her schooling at Mary Immaculate Girls Hr. Sec School, Tirupathur, scoring 76% in class 10 and 70% in class 12.

Her mother looks after the family while working as a housekeeper. Her father abandoned the family. Her two younger brothers stopped going to school and started working. She is currently working at St. John’s Hospital.
