Prem Kumar completed his BE computer science from  Panimalar Engineering college. He studied in PCKG Govt HSS Kodambakkam and scored 449/500 in his class 10. His younger brother is mentally retarded. As a result, his mother is unable to go to work. His father is a heart patient and works in an export company. Prem through campus interview joined Infosys.
