Umamageswari completed her schooling at The Madras Seva Sadan Higher Secondary School. She scored 437/500 in his 10th exam and achieved 89.8% for her 12 Std. She completed her B.Com Computer Science at A.M. Jain College. She lost her mother when she was studying in 10th standard. She has her younger sister studying in school. Her father supports them by working as a painter.
