He completed his schooling at Shri Renuga Vidhyalayam Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Lakshmipuram, Theni, scoring 95.4% in Class 10 and 89.83% in Class 12.
His father, Kumar, works as a daily-wage accountant at the vegetable market, and his mother, Jothi, is a homemaker. His younger brother, Karthik Jei, is currently studying in Class 11.
Yashwanth is talented in sports—he plays basketball, participates in discus throw, and is also an athlete. His favorite subjects are Mathematics and Physics, and his ambition is to become a Machine Learning Engineer.
After completing Class 12, he registered for the JEE Main exam, the entrance test for his dream college, IIT Madras, and scored 89%. He requested his parents to allow him to join a coaching center for better preparation, but his mother, considering the family’s financial situation, suggested that he join a regular engineering college through counseling instead.
Understanding the family’s struggles, Yashwanth agreed to pursue engineering in a regular college, with the determination to study well, secure a good job through campus placement, and relieve his father of the family’s financial burden.
